With BRIGHT, our vetting process ensures that all partners meet the highest standards of safety, transparency, and accountability. During the vetting process, we assess organizational compliance, including training and trauma-informed practices, complete background checks on board members and staff, and ensure program compatibility for human trafficking survivors.
Our vetting process is phased, where the first few phases require minimal effort from our partners! Typically, our vetting process takes between two to four weeks depending on an organization’s service provision. The minimum level of vetting required to send referrals is dependent on the degree of interaction with human trafficking survivors.
Information that is requested during the vetting process is confidential, and is only reviewed by members of the BRIGHT Team. We recognize the importance of privacy and proprietary information, and we provide a secure Box link to upload your files. At any time, an organization may request to review the details of their vetting by reaching out to a BRIGHT team member.
